Founder story · Josh Dubovie
Years before NeuqOS had a name, I kept seeing the same thing: capable people doing good work inside systems that made the work harder than it needed to be.
Retirement living made it operational. Losing my mum made it personal. Building the products made the pattern impossible to ignore.
Follow the storyBefore software, there were rooms full of people.
Public performance, broadcast, Westminster and long-form interviews taught me how much trust depends on listening, reading a room, making an idea understandable and staying composed when attention is high.
That experience first taught me that communication changes what people are able to do next. The lesson stayed with me even as the work changed.
Systems became human, very quickly.
Across Ottawa retirement communities, I worked where a single transition could involve a resident, their family, sales, operations, care, paperwork and timing. When the handoffs were clear, people felt reassured. When they were not, the operational friction became part of an already emotional experience.
MoveMaster grew from a universal lesson: clear coordination can create confidence. The product carries that lesson without reproducing any employer's private process.
My mother passed away.
The grief, which was already immense, was compounded by something I did not expect: messages scattered across phones, paperwork across tables, and communication breaking down at the exact moment emotional capacity was at its lowest.
Building structure for that experience became Everlasting Tribute, and proved that good operations can protect human presence.
Different problems kept revealing the same thing.
Ideas stalled before a task list could help. Retirement moves became harder when context was fragmented. Grief became heavier when coordination had no home. Financial decisions became noisier when information arrived without discipline or perspective.
Voltico, MoveMaster, Everlasting Tribute and MegaFi did not begin as product categories. Each began with a specific friction worth removing.
The products pointed to NeuqOS.
The shared opportunity was larger than any one application: understand where human capability is being obstructed, make the pattern visible, and build the smallest useful system that helps people move forward. That is why I wanted this to become my business.
NeuqOS turns that lived understanding into clearer operations while keeping judgment, care and the people doing the work at the centre.
Most people are not failing because they lack intelligence or capability.
Modern work becomes harder when people are forced to carry too much context, too many handoffs and too many invisible decisions in their heads.
NeuqOS exists to remove that friction, so people can see what matters, understand what happens next, and get back to being human.
Areas of lived experience
The operating principle
Reduce friction.
Restore clarity.
Protect the human.
The technology is never the point. The point is making the work easier to understand, the handoffs easier to trust, and the next step easier to see.
Selected public work
The work, in public view.
These public moments show some of the work behind the story. Retirement living is closest to the systems NeuqOS now builds; the earlier stage work is where I learned to communicate under pressure.
